The young team managed to defend their crown at the second annual Kootenay Cup with a dominating performance in the singles matches. Results will be posted soon! The Kootenay Pro Series is now off until Monday, September 20th and the first round of the Tour Championship held at Trickle Creek. Entry for this year's Tour Championship is $180.

All results have been updated to this point in the series. Congratulations to Aaron Nelson (Cranbrook G.C.) on his first Kootenay Pro Series victory at the Cranbrook G.C. on Monday, June 28th.. After chipping in on the 18th hole to get into a playoff, Aaron defeated Ryan Wells (Eagle Ranch) on the first playoff hole to win. Aaron earned $630 for his efforts while Wells earned $430. Thanks to Paul Whittingham for hosting us at the firm and fast Cranbrook G.C. Next up for the Kootenay Pro Series is the Kootenay Cup at Copper Point Golf Club on Monday, July 12th. Can the veterans exact revenge on the young guys or will the youngs guys prove to be too much to handle again?

Another stong field of 31 teed it up in tough conditions Monday afternoon. Matt Freeman (APGA) fired a 1-under 71 at St. Eugene Mission Golf Resort to win his first Kootenay Pro Series event of the season on Monday. He earned $675 for his efforts. Mark Corrigan (APGA) fired a 2-over 74 and Jeremy Johnson (Windermere) fired a 3-over 75 to round out the top three. Thanks to Max Sherwood (Head Professional) of St. Eugene for hosting us. All results are posted along with an updated order of merit. The next event is Monday, June 28th at the Cranbrook Golf Club.

Trevor Metcalf (Eagle Ranch) won his second straight event on Monday, after defeating Ryan Wells (Eagle Ranch) in a playoff at the Fairmont Mountainside Golf Course. After each player fired 1-over 73's,  Metcalf bested Wells on the 1st playoff hole and earned $600 for his efforts. Trevor Simkins continued his solid early season play finishing third with a 2-over 74. Players were greeted with sunny and warm conditions but Mountainside showed it's teeth on this day. Results can be found on the results page. Order of Merit standings will be updated within the next few days.

33 players took to the Springs at Radium on Monday and were treated to a great day on the golf course. Trevor Metcalf (Eagle Ranch) fired a 4-under 68 to capture his first event of the 2010 Kootenay Pro Series schedule. Metcalf took home $665 for his efforts. Casey Johnson (Windermere Valley) fired a 2-under 70 to finish in second, while Ryan Wells (Eagle Ranch) rounded out the top three with a 1-under 70. Full results are available through the Results Page. The Pro Series now moves on to Fairmont Mountainside for 1:00 P.M. start on Monday, May 17th. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Mark Corrigan defeated four players  over a two hole playoff at Fairmont Riverside to capture his first victory of the season! Results to follow soon.
